Compass offers two separate reimbursement accounts under a Section 125 Cafeteria Plan to purchase certain benefits on a pre-tax basis. The Medical Reimbursement Account for qualifying medical, dental and vision expenses incurred by you and your eligible dependents, and a Dependent Care Account for the costs of day care for your children or other eligible dependents.
Compass’s prescription drug coverage offers you both brand-name and generic medications either by at home delivery or through your local pharmacy. Our prescription drug benefits are generous with minimal employee co-pays (especially for generic medications).
Vision benefits can be purchased through a payroll deduction. This plan covers exams, lenses and frames with minimal out-of-pocket co-pays. Compass employees are eligible for vision benefits upon hire.
Dental benefits provide for both preventative and restorative coverage and are an important part of the thorough benefits package provided to you by Compass, Inc. We pay 80% of all coverage levels and the remaining amounts are covered through a payroll deduction. Our plan allows for four cleanings per year! Compass employees are immediately eligible for dental insurance upon hire.
All employees will be automatically enrolled at 5% contribution in the Company's 401(k) Savings Plan unless you opt out. Plan participants may make contributions to a pre-tax 401(k) account or a post-tax Roth account. As a participant in Compass’s 401(k) Savings Plan you are eligible to receive up to a 4% matching contribution if you make a 5% contribution: Most importantly, you are always 100% vested in both Compass’s contributions and your contributions.
To protect you, your loved ones, and your family in the event of unforeseen circumstances, Compass offers you important safety net benefits such as life and AD&D insurance. You are provided life insurance in the amount equal to one times your basic annual salary, rounded to the nearest dollar, up to $200,000 -- subject to Plan Provisions. Compass employees are immediately eligible for life and AD&D insurance upon hire. You and your family can feel secure with Compass’s Life and AD&D insurance.
Compass employees can purchase addition-al life insurance for themselves and their eligible dependents. The employee can purchase a maximum benefit of five times their yearly earnings up to $500,000 -- subject to Plan Provisions. This plan is transferable if you were to leave the company. Ask us about the guaranteed issue amounts, plans purchased above that will require you to complete the evidence of insurability form.
Compass employees are eligible for sick leave upon hire. Paid sick leave is accrued monthly and is calculated at two (2) weeks annually. A maximum of eighty (80) hours of sick leave can be carried over each year. This is separate from your accrued vacation hours and can be used to provide medical care for your dependents.
Compass employees receive paid annual leave which is accrued monthly and varies by the length of employment. Any accrued annual leave that is not used may be carried over to the next year. 1—9 years equals 3 weeks; 10+ years equals 4 weeks. If an employee decides to leave the team, they are paid for a maximum of eighty (80) hours accrued leave at the time they leave. In addition to vacation, Compass employees observe the OPM federal government holidays throughout the year. Every employee also receives 1 Personal Holiday per year to use when they chose.
Compass is invested in providing our employees the work-life balance they need to achieve a happy life. In addition to Vacation, an employee can choose to bank or borrow up to 24 hours of leave to use whenever needed. If you are short on accrued vacation, you can use banked accrued flex leave hours or borrow flex leave hours and build them back up at a later time.
We are very happy to say we do offer our Reservists 10 days of Military leave per calendar year with a pay differential as a way to say thank you for your service.

All employees are eligible for the Educational Assistance Program who have been employed with Compass for at least six (6) months. Based on qualifying factors, an employee could potentially receive up to $5,250 of educational expenses reimbursed annually.
